Hi Everyone,

If I am not wrong, by now you must have got your Call Letter and you must be thinking the whereabouts of your training in ILP Chennai. You must have worked so hard to win a job in TCS and looking so glad to start up your career in an MNC like TCS. But I think many of you would be very new to Chennai and worried so much about the living in such a new city. Don't worry, I will share you with all the requirements and needs you are going to meet to start your training in ILP Chennai.

TCS-ILP-Experience-Chennai

Training in Chennai usually conducted in Karapakkam, Rajiv Gandhi salai which is very much near to Thiruvanmiyur and a way ahead to ADYAR. My Training in ILP Chennai started on 15th June 2015 and I arrived there 2 days before the joining.  First of all, while talking about Chennai, the first thing most of the people get worried is about the temperature over there. Yes, Temperature in Chennai is little bit high when compared to remaining places in India. As soon as I stepped out of Bus in Koyambedu, I was feeling so hot that i could not breath in for almost 10-15 seconds.

After getting relaxed for some time, I walked to the near Bus station and got into S570 bus which head towards Karapakkam. After reaching Karapakkam, I and my friends kept our luggage in a room and started our way hunting for the Hostel entire day. Finally we could manage to get an accommodation in a nice hostel near Mettukuppam and we were very eagerly waiting for first day of our ILP Training.

Day-1:
Finally the day has come, we all with a lot of excitement arrived at our ILP and after some simple procedures, we got our Temporary ID cards. We were instructed to enter the Auditorium and there corresponding HR's gave a warm welcome to ILP and we were told about all the rules and regulations we should follow while Training in ILP. First day was just an introductory session and the entire day we underwent all the INDUCTION sessions. Before we leave, we all were given with Bank Salary Accounts and got all the procedures to open the Account.

Day-2:
This day began in an exciting way and we all were divided into different sections called LG's(Learning Group) with 30 members each. There were around 18 people from Pondicherry, 10 from AP-Telangana and remaining from Kerala. We all had a very good time learning with people from different states and all you people end up discussing about your own States with your neighbors. Believe me, you will have definitely a very good time with all those associates from other states. I learned little Tamil and also taught my mother language to them as well. Learning in ILP is mixed with lot of fun with great learning in weekdays and enjoying with colleagues while in weekends.

Places to Visit:
We visited lot of places over there in Chennai and the city is having a great visual grand in places such a Phoenix mall, Ampa skywalk, Marina Beach, MGR ghat, Besant Nagar Beach. I would definitely say that Training in Chennai is like Enjoying with Learning and also the city. I would like to mention specially some places you should definitely visit and make your Chennai session a grand success.  Some of them are Phoenix mall, Ampa Skywalk, Besant Nagar Beach Temple, Marina Beach, MMTS train stations(this is very new), ADYAR bus station and of-course Mayajal Cinemas too.

Food and Accommodation:
Food will not be the problem in Chennai as there would be lot of Andhra Hotels, North Indian Restaurants, Chinese, Punjabi Food etc. Food over Hostels also will be fine and hostels usually charge around 5000-7000 rupees per month based on the facilities provided. For the accommodation, Shozhinganallur would be the best option. There the hostels and PG's would be somewhat modernized when compared to other parts. For an economy level accommodation, Mettukuppam will be the best option.

Finally we reached the last day of ILP Training part and we were so excited about our posting locations. Most of my friends got Chennai itself and I got in Hyderabad, my home town and few were posted to Bangalore as well. For the end line ceremony, we all were assembled in Auditorium once again and some students were awarded for their excellent performance during training and finally we step out of the ILP with lot of excitements and hopes towards our Future.

My experience in Chennai started with a struggling note at first and finally ended up with a cheerful experience over there. I was so glad to visit Chennai and it is one of the most beautiful places I visited. And I stepped out Chennai towards my way to Hyderabad, my first work location hoping to fly into my career towards excellence.

This is my experience in ILP Chennai and you are most welcomed to get your queries solved by commenting below. Please do comment below all your doubts and I would be answering all your questions instantly.

Thank You All.
Below is the Interview experience shared by Naveen kumar who joined TCS in June 2015.

My name is Naveen kumar. I am sharing my Tcs placement and working experience to this world. Coming to the Tcs selection process, for me it has gone through totally 3 rounds. In the first round of my Tcs, its written test . It's an unforgettable day in my life that I went to our college at early morning 7:30 and came to my room at late night 11 O clock.

After 2 days we got our written test results and I am the one of the guys who selected for that exam. The next day after they announced results, I have to go with my technical round. Around 3:30 at afternoon I went into my panel with lot of nervousness in my face and with lot of fear. It is the first company that I'm attending to an interview in my life and to that it is MNC company.

Coming to my ambitions in my life placing itself in campus is one for that I prepared soo hard for my technical skills. Once I entered into the panel I wish the superiors and then they asked me to introduce about myself. At that time when I'm saying answers I'm not at all able to say correctly anything that I prepared for my interview in the first few minutes. Then, my superior asked me to take some water and then I feel comfortable there and started saying answers with confidence. My technical round has gone through more than 90 minutes. Finally I completed the second round of my dream company. Then next day from morning until 12 I'm eagerly waiting for my result , finally they announced the results and I am the one of those who cleared that.

After that in the next immediate hour I have to attend for my HR round. I attend to my HR round around 2 at afternoon and at that time I went inside with full of confidence and positive minded. The programs that I attended at my college helps me a lot at that time for my final round. After the end of my HR round I have a small confirmation indirectly from my superior that I'm also a part of Tcs in future. But I am waiting for the official mail that the Tcs has to send to me . All of our colleagues at that time are so nervously waiting for results including me and it takes more than 2 days for us  getting mails officially from Tcs. At that time I'm not at my room and also for me at that time no internet is there, suddenly I got a call from my friend that the results have been announced and I got my official mail that I have  selected for TCS. That's the one of the most happy moments in my life which is my fathers big dream that I fulfilled when I am in college itself. For that my mother and sister were so happy at that time wherever my father is there I hope he is so happy for me.

Some days gone  after getting placed and I got to know that we have to clear some modules called as aspire quizzes. I have done all those with help of   friends and on my own. But I didn't select the stream in the portal for my tech lounge module. At that time I felt so disappointed that I couldn't get good stream. But after some days once after completion of my college I got my joining letter from Tcs I have to report on 8 June 2015 at Ahmadabad. For that I prepared all my necessary travel and remaining all things needed for me. Also I am so happy that I'm visiting north India for the first time in my life.

On the joining day that I have to report I went so early to office on the first day itself I shocked how the Tcs is and that is too Ahmadabad north India. Around evening on the first day I have completed verification of all my documents and the remaining time until 2 or 3 days we have more audit sessions. At the last hour of third day I know that I got SAP as my stream, at that time I extremely felt so happy for that. For the first 15 days we have gone through Java basics and also we have taken some quizzes related to Java. After that we have entered into our stream SAP  for the next 2 months training. It's the only place at Ilp I feel so proud that I'm getting paid for my training. In ilp we have gone through both bizz and technical skills and attended for some exams. I successfully cleared all the exams that they conducted for me. Really for me Ilp is the best that I got to learn new things that to in SAP stream that I got training. Finally I got some good friends in Ilp who taught me a lot in that little span of time.

Once after competition of my Ilp I got my posting at Chennai where I have to report on September 2 2015. For the first whole day I didn't got  any call from any project manager. I always in that whole day just seeing at my phone for any calls for my project. At last finally I got a call around afternoon 2 on the second day in marks & Spencer project. I am so happy that time I got my location as Tcs Siruseri one of the biggest campus in Chennai. Finally one more disappointing things for me is that I got functional module in our project, but now I'm feeling good by exploring new things related to all business things in e Sap. This is all my experience regarding to Tcs from the day I got placed into Tcs and I'm happy being a family member of the Tcs company.
Hi everyone, my name is Santosh Kumar. In the month of September, i went for the Wipro drive.
It was a Country wide Mega Drive For freshers and hundreds of students all around the state appeared to the drive.
Recruitment was held in three stages:
1. Written Test Amcat (One of the Hardest Tests i ever Took For a Services Company After tcs)
2. Technical Round
3. HR

1. Written Test consisted of 4 modules
  1. Logical
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. English
  4. C Programming (toughest of its kind)
Logical and Quantitative Aptitude are toughest and some of them were up to the CAT standards. I suggest a book Quantum CAT by sarvesh verma from where i studied too and it is very useful book in terms of complete exposure of the subject.
Basic ENGLISH is sufficient for the English section where you should have the knowledge to identify the meanings of the words. You should be perfect in grammar and should be aware of synonyms and antonyms of all the basic English vocabulary.
For C programming, you can rely on the basics of C Programming and try to sort out all the programs you come across. Give more weight to Data structures as more questions in AMCAT shall be from this section only.

2. Technical Round
Wipro is the First It company which asked me about my core branch(Ece) technical questions for IT job.... I liked it...:)
Many questions went around routers gateways LAN, WAN. I was asked to explain everything i knew about laptop... I explained him for 5 min.and he was convinced..
And many HR questions were also asked in Technical Round itself.

3. HR
Again same story tell me about yourself.., goals...,hobbies, etc. Here i showcased my talent like i sketch a lot, so i showed her my sketches.. and she was impressed ...:) ANd finnaly Why Wipro? after that
she said We will meet soon.. and said u can leave for the day...!!

After a week i got an email saying congrats u got selected. :)
Hello everyone, I am one of the student from 2015 passed out batch from CVR college of engineering, Ibrahimpatnam from ECE branch. On sept 6 th 2014, TCS conducted a campus drive in our college. Over 600 students participated in the drive and of them only 169 students had passed all the rounds and got Offer letter. I was one of those 169 and I am currently here to share my experience regarding the drive and the quality of toughness and the complete review of all the rounds.

tips-tcs
TCS recruitment process consisted of totally 3 rounds.
1. Written test.
2. Technical round ( TR ).
3. HR round.

Written test:

In this round, there  are 2 sections viz. a) Verbal section.
                                                         b) Quant section.
Verbal section consists of an email writing where you will be given am email to write with 10 given words. you should use all the 10 words and write an email to the prescribed person. This is very easy section and everyone can clear this email writing quite easily.
Quant section will be consisting of 30 questions of which majority are from Time and distance, Time and work, P&C, Probability, Averages.
This section will be bit tough when you study only R.S. Agarwal book. Questions are not on basics but some what high level. I suggest you to prepare some CAT based materials which go beyond the basic level of quantitative aptitude.
Some of the books are : 1. Quantam cat by sarvesh varma
                                    2. Arun sharma.
Complete the Level-1 from the sarvesh varma book and it is very much sufficient for your preparation.
And if you get 15 out of 30 correct, then there are more chances of your written test cleared.
In this round around 600 people attempted and only 333 people cleared the test.

Technical round (TR):

In this round, there will be a technical interview where you will be asked about the basics of C programming and some simple programs.
Your Project (Mini or Major) plays a very important role in this round where you have to be fully aware of your project and related code.
Study some basic C-programs and basics on C-programming and you can easily clear this round.
Out of 333, about 250 prople cleared this round and got forwarded for the HR round.
Study the Basic C-programs from the link below.

                              Top 20 Basic C-Programs

If you clear the TR round, the chances of getting job are more.

HR round:

In this round, you will have a regular interview round where you will be asked to tell about yourself, your strengths, weakness, hobbies, and your goals. This is very easy round and mainly focuses on your body language and english fluency.
Practice good english and neat body language and you can easily clear this round.
Out if the 250 people, 169 people are shortlisted and finally got the job.

Continuous monitoring of level in an over head tank is an hectic task as we have to turn on the motor pump when ever the level of water is low and to monitor all the time till the water has filled completely in the tank else the water would over flow, to avoid this job of monitoring the water level we have assigned this burden to the technology.
Now well learn how to built a water level monitoring system and how to automatically switch on and switch off the motor.

Basic block diagram ::

Working of devices:

H-bridge:   Micro controller has logic high on all the pins and certain amount of current passing through them, but the current present in the pins is not sufficient to run the motor, so we use the amplifier to obtained the required rated current, to get this one has to use a multi staged amplifier to get the required rated current of the motor, we can normally use a class c amplifier to get the required current, but if we want to change the direction of rotation of motor then we have to physically change the direction of motor, so in order to avoid these issues we have come with a concept called as h-bridge.
the working of the h-bridge is such that when logic [1 0] to the transistors 1 and 4 is given to the pins of the ic then the motor rotates in the clock wise direction and when the input[0 1] to them then the motor rotates in the anti clock wise direction, and if the logics[1 1] or [0 0] is given then the motor will be stopped.

Motor:
here we use a dc motor which work on 12v dc voltage and a current of 200 mA, this rotate in clock wise for[1 0] and in anti clock wise for [0 1]

Working of the project:

We connect 2 pins of the micro controller with some connectors and place the other end of the connectors in the over head water tank in 2 different positions that is one at the extreme top till where we want to fill the tank and one at the bottom i.e the position of the water in the tank at which we want the motor to turn on

then we connect connectors to the ground voltage and then place this connection at the extreme bottom of the over head tank such that this will touch the bottom of the tank

let us name the pin of uc which is at the bottom of the micro controller as low and at the top as high.
now as the initial condition let us consider the water level in the tank to be at the half, so the ground and low pin are shorted and the logic level 0 is supplied to this pin1 of ic and as the high is not in contact with ground this will give us logic 1 to the ic and at this level we dont want the motor to be turned on, so now we have pin 2 as high and pin 1 as low and now we give either [1 1] or [0 0] to the h-bridge ic such that the motor is off

Now if the water level is reduced such that the water dosent even touch the low pin then the low pin also supply logic high and high pin also supply logic high and now we need the motor to turn on so now we give either [1 0] or[0 1] to the micro controller as we dont consider the direction of rotation of the motor.

As the motor is turned on the water level in the tank increases gradually, when the water level increases to the pin high then both the pins both give logic zero since they are shorted with the ground, now we have to turn down the motor so we give [1 1] or [0 0]. In this way the water level is monitored itself and the motor is automated.

Circuit diagram:

Power supply:

Unlike other projects we need here both 5v dc supply along with 12v dc supply to drive the motor so here we use 2 voltage regulators and a basic 15v transformer to convert the 220v dc to the required voltage rating

HOME AUTOMATION USING BLUETOOTH AND PIR SENSOR ::

This Project aims to implement controlling of the appliances around us in our presence using Bluetooth and getting the work done with the less effort by us.

Automation helps us to control the devices in home, office or some other place, what could you believe that you can switch on a tv, turn on an ac from the place you are present using a device in your hand...!!!

Use of PIR(passive infra red sensor) senses our presence illuminates the room and activate the bluetooth device and by which the appliances can be controlled. PIR is used here to save the power by making the bluetooth receiver in sleep mode when ever it is not used.

Block Diagram:

Working of devices ::

Passive Infra Red:: PIR is a device which recognizes the active human presence. Then pir sensor give the logic high to the micro controller indicating the presence of a human
The 3 pins to the PIR are one for giving the power supply, one for the ground and other is the output pin connected to any one pin of the ports of micro controller which indicates the presence of a person. As long as there is no person detected then the sensor give logic 0 to the micro controller, when there is a active human presence then the logic high is sent to the micro controller indicating that a person has entered the room.

Bluetooth receiver::
As any one know the application of bluetooth is to exchange the data, similarly here we use the bluetooth receiver module to receive the data which we have sent to the automation device in order to indicate the micro controller what operation has to be done.
For this purpose the bluetooth module is connected serially to the micro controller using serial communication channel and the out of serial communication is connected to any pone pins of the ports of the micro controller, the logic of which device to turn on and which device to turn off is written in the programming part, and the bluetooth device becomes active only when the PIR sensor detects a person(in our project), till the person is not detected the receiver is in power down mode, once the sensor senses a person the device turn on and will be waiting for the input from the user.

Relay Switch:
Relay switch is used to connect the appliances to the micro controller output pins as the home appliances work on 220v ac power supply. As we cannot connect 220v power supply directly to the micro controller we use a relay switch.
The function of the relay switch is that when ever the output from the micro controller is high then the connection of the 220v is given to the appliances and when the out of the MC is logic low then the switch is connected to the ground. This avoids the problem of connecting the high voltage working devices to the micro controller.

Working of the project ::
Intially all the pins of the micro controller will be in logic high position, once we connect peripherals to the MC then all the pins are made logic low to implement the logic.  Initially the output of the PIR pin is logic low when there is no presence of the person, once the person is detected the bulb of the room turn on at the same time activating the bluetooth receiver. once the bluetooth is turned on then it waits for the command from the user from his electronic device containing bluetooth controller app.  From that app when a particular button is pressed then it is sensed and is detected by the bluetooth device and based on the logic written on the micro controller the device is turned on and can be turned off.

Circuit:

POWER SUPPLY::
Supply to the micro controller is given via transformer which gives 15v ac output with 500mA current, then the output of the transformer is connected to the bridge rectifier which give constant 5v dc output which is given to the micro controller.
logic implementation ::  (using keil uvision software)
